is probably the easiest part where you get just enough HP to not die or get combo-ed by mechanics while being under effect of food, and put rest into Magicka to boost your main resource pool

staff is mandatory in cases where you would need to use Elemental Drain/Elemental Susceptibility or Frost reach, but for enchant proc you can use any 2-handed weapon with a respective ground AOE skill. However, Destro lets you be ranged and position yourself easily behind the group to provide necessary buffs

enchants is a primary source of adjusting your Magicka sustain. While it is imperative that healer should always have resources to heal the group, it is also important to not oversustain and never drop below 50-80%. If you’re beginner and using food with bonuses other than Max Health + Max Magicka (for example Witchmothers or Ghastly Eye Bowl) consider adjusting your sustain via jewelry enchants and use beforementioned bistat HP + Mag food to improve survivability and make content progress easier.

Choice between Spell and Weapon damage is dependent on a few factors:

  • if you’re wearing Roaring Opportunist - pick Spell damage, as it it crucial for set effect
  • if you’re wearing SPC + something - your choice of either Weapon or Spell damage depends on group composition - if your group has a DK tank/DD but no Templar - pick Weapon damage to receive additional 10% Weapon damage from Minor Brutality from DK passive - if your group has a Templar but no DK - pick Spell damage to receive additional 10% Spell damage from Minor Sorcery from Templar passive - if your group has both Templar and DK pick either Spell or Weapon Damage.

Remember that it matters for organized veteran content, and don’t stress out if you don’t have a perfect setup in a PUG.
